Not a particularly well-reasoned argument
Skepticism is getting a bad name. It is useful to question all beliefs. To examine the evidence that supports ideas. But some people now just question ideas that they don’t agree with, regardless of the evidence. So this is a perversion of the tool, a dulling of the edge of reason. That is frustrating. But then, the fundamental irrationality of humans should not be surprising when you think of us as sacs of meat. It is perhaps more surprising that we are capable of rationality at all. I blame teaching science as facts rather than as a process of inquiry.
