On Reading

School of Life had a heretical post about reading less. They point out that in pre-modern times, people did not have so many books. They had certain select books. Then they would also reread them. In opposition to his is the idea of the Antilibrary of all the books you haven’t read yet. I have realized that I probably won’t get around to reading all the books I own. So maybe it seems stupid to have them, but the ones I want to read changes over time, so I like the choice. Maybe I am not content, but so what?
