#My Baachan 34. Popoff

In the fall of 1942, My Baachan and her family arrived in Popoff where they would stay for three years. It was one of a few internment sites around Slocan, including Bay Farm and Slocan City itself, in which existing buildings were refurbished to house more people. Slocan City would be heading toward the lower right. This drawing is based on a black and white photograph (NNM 2013.34.1.37).
