An illustrated talk on Baachan, my paternal grandmother and Japanese Canadian history. I have presented this as part of the Vancouver Maritime Museum speaker series (Feb. 2018), for ESL classes at UBC, and for elementary schools (Gr. 5).

Walked and talked about the Japanese Canadian community that once thrived along Powell Street in Vancouver, on behalf of the Nikkei National Museum. I’ve also done them on Hastings Park and Kitsilano.

This was a online presentation I developed and delivered at the Burnaby Village Museum.
