At the virtual PAC meeting, the Principal said the school priorities were health and safety, emotional connection, communication, and then academic learning, following a kind of hierarchy of needs. It was probably always in place, but now during the pandemic, we cannot take the first three for granted. This seems reasonable to me. So my daughter is doing two courses at a time, which alternate between face-to-face with less students, and remote learning. They have ten weeks to do what would be spread out over ten months. I appreciate the nimble adjustments of teachers to the new normal.
