The Circle by Dave Eggers

This novel intrigued and frustrated me. Evangelists for a technological near monopoly called The Circle eagerly give up privacy and freedom to make everything about everything knowable, which, they believe, will bring peace and safety. It was kind of melodramatic, but I suppose it was to make the consequences clearer. They have so much information but no time to reflect upon it; so busy doing nothing of substance. They have so many messages but no real conversations. They are so insecure, their sense of self worth depends on the responses of their followers. I sure hope you like this post.
